Happy Friday!
I wanted to send everyone a quick update of where we're at. We shipped 138 orders on Wednesday. All of the backers who ordered only the print: your Filmography of Guns is on its way to its new home. It felt so good to upload those tracking numbers! Be on the lookout for an email from BackerKit with your tracking number in it.
All orders containing the books will not be sent out for a couple of weeks. The bookmakers are hard at work but with the Holiday Season upon us they've gotten quite backlogged. I'm in contact with them regularly, trying to sweet talk your orders up the print press line. To ensure holiday delivery, we'll be sending international orders first, and I'm working hard to ensure all orders get out in time for Christmas as promised. You patience is greatly appreciated!
I also wanted to announce another update.
The Prints We Create are Not Good Enough.
I pour my heart and soul into them, pride myself in their attention to detail, and provide them to you using the best materials, all in hopes that they adorn your walls and provide you with joy whenever you look at them. But lately I’ve felt that my work could go even further and far beyond the walls they hang on. The truth is your patronage and this Kickstarter give me power. Power to change lives.
Have you ever wondered what it is that allows some people to reach their goals so effortlessly while others seem stuck in the same situation year after year? I know I have.
I’m a big believer that knowledge and education can give people the confidence and skills needed to change their circumstances and reach any goal they set for themselves. I fundamentally believe that the earlier a person has access to knowledge the better off they will be and that every child should have access to a quality education to give them a future with endless possibilities.
I started Calm The Ham to escape the monotony of the 9-5, explore the world, and to have a creative outlet that gave my life meaning. I've been fortunate enough to reach many of those goals, and now I want to help others reach theirs.
I’m dedicated to empowering and inspiring people to create a life they love rather than one they wish to escape from. That’s why I’ve used a portion of the funds from this Kickstarter to donate scholarships to Pencils of Promise which will gives students all the resources they require for a full year of school. While the cost per scholarship is $250, the impact on their future is much greater.

Moving beyond Kickstarter, I've created a Buy a Print, Build A School program over at Calm The Ham so I can create prints with a purpose for the long term.
